Germany: new hotel for gays in Berlin
World market of gay-tourism is extremely popular now. Having opened the third hotel, Axel Hotels group (hotel group, focused on gays, its main office is located in Barcelona) has continued realization of the arrogant plan of the international expansion. The company is going to open 5 specialized hotels till 2013.
in 2003 the company has opened hotel Axel in Barcelona and the same hotel, accepted the first visitors in Buenos Aires in 2007. Both hotels are the property of the company while the new hotel, opened in Berlin, is taken in rent and management.
Actually, the hotel in capital of Germany has been constructed owing to support of the Spanish investment group, which has invested $13 million in its construction. Average cost of residing in Berlin Axel Hotel makes 105 euros a day.
The further strategy of promotion in the international market will be also connected with rent, in view of favorable opportunities in the market for such form of brand’s promotion.
The question of Axel hotels construction in Madrid, USA and Canada is being properly studied now. The company wants to arrange its 5 hotels on 5 continents.
Despite of crisis, in 2009 the prices for residing in hotels for gays have not changed. According to the operating company, 45 % of reservations are done directly on sites of hotels, 25 % - by phone, 30 % - by intermediary and travel agencies. This year the company plans to gain EU10 millions profits.
