Hoscar 2009: best hostels
Hoscar 2009 awards ceremony - ceremony of best hostels in the world- has been recently held in Dublin. As well as in previous years, winners were defined by tourists, who voted at Hostelworld.com.
About 800 thousand people took part in the voting, which has been hold within the year. They considered such factors as hostels’ interior, convenient location, service and cleanliness.
Portugal has appeared the best place for budgetary rest. In this country hostels have taken leading positions in the rating. Travellers House has won the competition; the second place has been given to Rossio Hostel, and the third place - to Lisbon Lounge Hostel. All three hostels are in capital of Portugal.
Riverhouse Backpackers, located in Cardiff - capital of the British Wales is on the fourth place.
To the fifth place was given to Greg&Tom in Krakow. The awards have been also given to Sitting on the City Walls Courtyard House in Beijing, Academy Hostel in Florence, Flamingo Hostel in Krakow and Mambo Tango Backpackers in Barcelona.
