Huge ice hotel opens in Lapland
On Christmas the biggest in history the ice hotel will open doors for visitors in Lapland. About sixty tourists can lead night on ice beds at temperature up to a minus 5 degrees on Celsius.
Inside of the ice rooms, made in the form of a needle, it is possible to find sleeping bags, the sheep skins and the instruction telling about how to win “force of dream”. After night in silent ices hot berry juice is offered to lodgers, and clients, who are afraid of frost, will be offered “warmer” rooms, booked in advance.
This ice hotel has been created by 15 professional sculptors within three weeks. Creation of a fantastic building required more than thousand trailers of snow. The hotel, which has received name Ice Hotel, which is being built annually, has been built in Lapland already for the eighth time. This year founders have attached additional three rooms, and thus the hotel has 30 double suites.
Except for rooms, the hotel, occupying territory in 7,5 kilometers and located in small village, has a bar and the restaurant, which are also made of ice. The interior of a building is decorated with ice statues. The hotel will work the whole winter and will be closed only in the spring, when the snow will start to melt.
